Throughout my career as an intervention behavior specialist, my experiences continue to help students with challenges that impair learning and social function. By continuing and having the willingness to learn, I hope to continue to build on my expertise in trauma informed care, social emotional learning, and cultural diversity. This website will showcase my professional accomplishments in teaching and the coursework being completed in the Education Leadership Program.
ABOUT ME
I teach all core subjects with 5th graders in a self-contained behavior classroom. In addition, I lead peers in the Positive Behavior Support Team, Building Leadership Team, Advisory Committee, and Behavior Intervention Team. I attended Bowling Green State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in Severe Behavior Handicaps and Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught in both the private and public sectors. Before obtaining my current position at a Title I school, I lead as Director of Operations at a private charter academy. Currently, I am enrolled at Grand Canyon University, working towards completing a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.

According to ELCC Standard 5, an ethical leader "promotes the success of every
student by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner." After reflecting
upon myself, I was required to look at the values and beliefs that drive my thinking,
decision-making, goal setting, and interactions with others and choose a style of
leading that fits those values and beliefs. While these values may stay the same,
my leadership style will be ever-changing as I grow in knowledge and act with integrity
and fairness to ensure accountability for every student's academic and social success.
